Patient Terms & Conditions
Insured patients:
When using private medical insurance, it is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that they have appropriate authorisation prior to the appointment from their insurer.
Please be aware that private medical insurance frequently will not cover the entirety of the costs of your treatment and that it is the patient’s responsibility to cover the costs of any shortfalls in their care costs, in full and within 7 days of being invoiced.
If the insurer has not settled in full within 28 days of the appointment, it is the patient’s responsibility to settle the invoice with us directly and to reclaim that amount from their insurers.
In all cases the liability to ensure that payment has been made in full is with the patient, not their insurer.
Self pay:
After each appointment or clinical test, the patient will receive an invoice.
The invoice must be settled within 7 days from the date of issue.
Failure to do so is a breach of our terms and conditions and further action will follow to ensure payment.
Cancellation and failure to attend:
The appointments at Guildford Cardiology are highly sought after and due to the urgent nature of the work that we undertake will often be filled at short notice.
Cancellations will not be charged if made 48hrs prior to the appointment, cancellations made within 48hrs of the appointment and those who fail to attend will be charged at the full appointment rate unless we have been able to fill the appointment slot with another patient.
If you do need to change your appointment, please inform the office and give us maximum notice so that we can arrange for this to be filled by another patient.
